Le Pouliguen - Atlantic reveries

Le Pouliguen is a town on the west coast of France. It's managed to maintain its old-worldy appeal, in contrast with neighbouring towns. I'm lucky to be able to share a family home that looks out over Le Pouliguen's rugged Atlantic coastline. The views have inspired many of my creations, here are a few.

ABOUT ME

It all started with Laura Ashley wallpaper. A lot of my childhood was spent moving from one country to another. Time zones changed, currency changed, accents changed, sometimes languages too. The one constant remained my mother’s favourite wallpaper supplier.

 

I would spend hours in bed finding patterns in the flowers, making connections, spotting differences and counting them until I fell asleep. Today, I hope my creations have a similar mesmerising effect on kids of all ages. Like clouds, feel free to see what you want to see, to search for things that you want to find. The closer you look, the more details pop out. A nod to person or place. A reference to a song. A photo of someone you know.
